Details:
* WHAT...Heavy snow above 2500 ft. Total snow accumulations between
12 to 22 inches. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...South Washington Cascades and the Northern and Central
Cascades of Oregon.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous.

Information:
Consider postponing travel until weather conditions improve.

If you must travel, be sure to slow down and allow extra time.

If your car becomes trapped in deep snow, be sure to keep your car
off to stay safe from potential carbon monoxide poisoning.

Be aware that walking surfaces may be slick. Walk with extra care.

Backcountry recreation is not advised.

* WHAT...Temperatures as low as 33 to 36 degrees will result in
frost formation.

* WHERE...Central and Southern Willamette Valley, Northern and
Central Coast Range Valleys and Mountains of Oregon, Tualatin
Valley, Clackamas County Cascade Foothills, Cowlitz County
Lowlands, North Clark County Lowlands, and South Washington
Cascade Foothills.

* WHEN...From 1 AM to 9 AM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive
outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

Information:
Take steps now to protect tender outdoor plants from the cold.
Consider temporarily moving outdoor potted plants indoors if they
are sensitive to cold temperatures.

Consider temporarily covering sensitive plants with a lightweight
cotton fabric (i.e., bedsheets, thin blankets), as this will help
retain heat and provide frost protection for your plants.
